Hi Everybody,

Does anyone know of a good set of campaign rules for the FPW?

Have a look at To The Last Gaiter Button…

There is a Yahoo group for it too (Real Time Wargaming) where one of the authors responds to questions about all of their rules.

I used a cut-down version of TTLGB and their tactical rules for my short FPW campaign:

What they all said – it's a great campaign resource (and not a bad tabletop game either). The main issue is that is refights the whole campaign, so armies are pretty large.

Thats brilliant, thanks guys. I was just thinking ahead, I want to do a full campaign of the Franco Prussian war in 6mm. I will use either V&B or Baccus Polemos FPW. We will also be doing the Austro-Prussian war and Risorgimento much further down the line.

AlastairJ- I took a look at your blog, fantastic stuff. Whose figures did you use? They look fantastic!

Not my blog I'm afraid… I presume you meant Pedrobear's [which does look very good I agree!!]

I think Pedrobear's figures are from Pendraken by the look of them. I have succumbed to their lure over the years, and have thousands of the little darlings! The range covers just about everything you might want, and I fully endorse all the plaudits for TTLGB as a campaign and tactical rules set. Oh, and Real Time Games do a similar set for 1866.

I can't remember whether they are Pendraken, but they were painted by Realistic Modeling. Excellent little guys.

Oh, and don't forget the card buildings from Paper Terrain – they look great too.
