Do you have the regimental strengths and weapon types for the area around the west wood and sunken lane??

Both sides please we hope to reenact this battle in 3 weeks time.

That Antietam site is neat---very comprehensive!

The book Artillery Hell is a wealth of info on the makeup and action for artillery units at Antietam.

May I recommend…

"UNDYING COURAGE – Antietam Campaign in Miniature" by Scott Mingus has regimental strengths, artillery types, terrain details, everything you need. An impressive amount of research and wealth of info is contained within the pages.

The book has become hard to find, like its Gettysburg sibling, ENDURING VALOR. But you might find a copy available out there on the net. Or contact publisher, marekjanci.com
I heard they are considering a pdf version.

I can get you material from the appendices of my book Antietam: The Soldiers' Battle as well as maps. How soon do you need them? I will be out of town until Friday, February 10. priesjoh@verizon.net

Mr. Priest's book is a must-read. I'm about half way through myself. Plenty of details in there to spice up your Antietam games and tons of useful tactical maps.

Antietam is out of print. White Mane is going to reprint it, soon I hope. Maybe putting a bug in their collective ears might help.

Antietam Army Lists is now in print and available on the Wargame Vault. I have listed all engaged regiments and their respective reported or estimated strengths, armament, organizational structure, etc.
