How do Warlords Romans (early imperial) compare with the rest?
I'm interested in black tree designs range but I'm keen to find out how they compare!

They do not work well together. Warlord are relatively small and Black Tree are very big.

I own Warlord, Foundry and BTD early Imperial Romans. The BTD do not mix at all with either the Warlord or Foundry models. The BTD models are very tall and both the Warlord and Foundry ones are quite small. I.e. the BTD are more 28mm heroic scale and the Warlord and Foundry are nearer true 25mm scale.

The only models that mix well, imo, are Warlord and Foundry as they're roughly the same size.

Warlord's match the OLD Foundry romans very well.
The Blacktree seem huge. I have some and thought about painting them upa and claiming they were German recruits.

I have used the BTD auxilia with my Warlord Romans with no problem. I figure that the Celts/Germans were larger than the Romans overall, so the minis ought to reflect that.

Besides, I really liked the BTD auxilia with cloaks, so that was as good an excuse as any to use them. * grin*

The Foundry and Warlord, as others have said, mix well together, but as a habit, I only use the minis from one maker in any specific unit. Thus, Foundry for one unit, Warlord for others, etc.

1st corps will fit in with both Warlord and the Perry Foundry figures.
