Thanks for the inspiration. I keep looking at a few of these on the hobby store shelf thinking, "I can't use these with my Japanese Forces, I need transport trucks." It just never crossed my mind to simply convert them, and I dont' know why. I'm always converting other stuff, so why not these? -David G. gamerarchitect.blogspot.com |

David G I bumped over to look at your blog site. I love those Pegasus LCVP's. My friend Gary has one. The troops in transport are very nice. Your project looks very nice, best of luck! |

The L.C.I and the crew come from ? |

The LCI I think is from Britannia. The LCI comes with some crew and the 20mm's, but the additional men you see there were from several small packs of (3)Landing Craft crewman (Driver, and 2 gunners). I thought they were offered by SHQ or Battlefield Miniatures, but can't find them now. The pack may be OOP? I'm using them to man my LCM's that came crewless from Forces of Valor. I love the LCVP's. They're not only cheap, but come with the standing troops to fill the LC with. I wish I could find some more of the plastic 'troops only' for the other LC's. Email me for any other info. dglennjr@yahoo.com |

I love them too, but they only come with 15 troops when a full boat team was 30. I made up the difference by using cheapo generic army men (Airfix clones from China) which look good enough with a paint job and stuck to a base. Here they are in preparation:
And about to hit the beach (loaned out for someone else's game)
