Here's my start! Any feedback is appreciated! Black Dossier EX-COM: Project Blue Book "The U.S. Air Force, and by extension the United States Government, officially ended the inquiry into Unidentified Flying Objects on December 17th, 1969. The official stance of the U.S. Government was that there was no threat to the National Security of the Nation." "EX-COM, or Extraterrestrial Command, was established on December 18th, 1969. Its primary mission is to investigate and neutralize the Extraterrestrial threat to the United States and the World. Through a secret treaty it has worldwide jurisdiction and is given the extraordinary latitude in its methods" Types of Missions: Note: Instead of map pieces, each mission can possibly give you Alien Artifacts, dead specimens, live specimens, or live command aliens. Crashed Spaceship: Your interceptors have forced an enemy spaceship to Crash land, go in and mop up survivors and retrieve any "specimens" and technology. Landed Spaceship: Your base radar has detected a landed scout ship and it's time to send in the containment teams. Small Terror Invasion: Aliens have landed in a populated area. All resources must be brought in to stop them and contain the classified nature of the threat. Civilian casualties are a secondary concern but should be kept at a minimum. Requires live specimens: Abducted Civilians: The aliens have abducted a group of civilians, your mission is to retrieve as many as possible, while as the same time making bringing the fight to the aliens to make them think twice about abducting humans again. If possible capture any command aliens present. Supply Ship: We've established the timeframe and location of the next supply ship to the still-hidden alien base. Intercept and retrieve as much technology and information as able. Also, if possible capture any command aliens present. Requires captured live Command Aliens: Alien Base: Through advanced interrogation techniques we've learned of an Alien Base operating on Earth. Locate and retrieve as much technology and information as able then destroy with extreme prejudice. Special Equipment (Requires Alien Technology) Plasma Rifle (require X number of Alien Artifacts) Laser Rifle (require X number of Alien Artifacts) Laser Pistol (require X number of Alien Artifacts) Psy-Control Device (require X number of Alien Artifacts) Powered Armor Suit (require X number of Alien Artifacts) |

Sounds like fun. Don't forget the recon, and/or attack on the secret underwater alien base (helps keep them from prying eyes). Of course, we all know there are no UFOs. Well of course there aren't, since they've all now been identified as alien craft, so people are posing the wrong question to the officials in charge (giving them plausible deniability). They really should be asking about IFOs, and or AFOs/AFCs, e.g. Identified Flying Objects, Alien Flying Objects, or Alien Flying Craft, respectively. |

>They really should be asking about IFOs, and or AFOs/AFCs, e.g. Identified Flying Objects, Alien Flying Objects, or Alien Flying Craft, respectively. hahahaha, good point. The governments view is we know what they are and we have a treaty with the greens from mars and the blues from venus so any request about a UFO or threats from UFO's is an automatic none known or found in the records. lol

The original game was fun to play. Can't wait for the new version to be released this fall. XCOM enemy Unknown. |

I agree
I still play the original (got it on steam for cheap!) and I've been looking forward to the re-make! Sounds like they're doing it right. This is my conversion for Strange Aeons, it's coming along, i'm going to start the aliens soon! |

Yep, it's all about plausible deniability with the government bureaucrats, and politicians – an excellent example of that is "
.it all depends on what the meaning of the word is, is
.". Same goes for UFOs. |

The original game was fun to play. Can't wait for the new version to be released this fall. XCOM enemy Unknown. Wait, what? A new version of XCom? Dang, there goes my budget for a new computer, because I will bet that my wimpy laptop will not hack a new version of the game. And I still have the original version of XCom on the 3.5" floppies, and the collector's edition on CDRom
but I'm going to have to buy the Steam versions, since the graphics in my laptop cannot handle that old format. |

Oh, boy
Ok, who makes 28mm grays and some of the other nastiness? I have been working on an Infinity table that is heavily urban, this could get ugly. |

Haha, i'm not sure who does 28mm
I use 15mm for everything ;) |

Here are the first two missions: Types of Missions: Note: Instead of map pieces, each mission can possibly give you Alien Artifacts, dead specimens, live specimens, or live command aliens. Crashed Spaceship: Your interceptors have forced an enemy spaceship to Crash land, go in and mop up survivors and retrieve any "specimens" and technology. Requirements: None Lurkers: Any number of lurkers may be used. Set Up: Players place scenery to a mutual satisfaction. The threshold player places the crashed spaceship within 10 inches of the center of the board. Half of the lurkers (rounding up) deploy within 5 inches of the craft, the other half deploy within the craft. Threshold may choose which side they deploy on and may deploy within 5 inches of the table edge. Special Rules: none Starting the Game: Each side rolls a 1D6. The side with the higher roll may choose whether to go first or second. Ending the Game: The game ends when one side has been removed from the table. Treasure: If EX-COM wins the mission then any Aliens with a Major Injury count as dead specimens. You can search for Alien Artifacts just like Map Pieces. Landed Spaceship: Your base radar has detected a landed scout ship and it's time to send in the containment teams. Requirements: None Lurkers: Any number of lurkers may be used. Set Up: Players place scenery to a mutual satisfaction. The lurker player places the landed spaceship within 10 inches of the center of the board. Threshold may choose which side they deploy on and may deploy within 5 inches of the table edge. The lurker player then deploys anywhere on the table, at least 10 inches from a threshold model and out of LOS. Since the alien ship is intact there is more of a chance to recover alien artifacts. Every Alien Artifact you find roll 1D6, on a roll of 5-6 you gain an extra Alien Artifact. ---- What do you guys think? Thanks! |

Haha, i'm not sure who does 28mm
I use 15mm for everything ;) Well, Infinity is my last holdout for 28mm gaming, but the scale of the game is right. I mean, you can only fit 12 guys (or 8+tank) into the skyranger, so there's not much reason to go to 15mm! |
