interestingly enough, in the game world they are defined as robots, not walkers with crews

I own the Dust Tactics game and I will be getting some of these when they come out:

Me too. The Sino Soviet Union forces will need serious punch when they come out this spring (hopefully).

helmet101-They are called robots in the game but they definitely have crews, and so are not "robots" in the usual English sense of the word.

I just finished up painting a bunch of the German figures from the core set. Aside from the bent weapons I'd have to say these were the best vinyl figures I've ever painted. I'll be posting up pics of them later this week.

The Mecha are quite nice and molded in hard plastic. My only gripe is the Mickey models should have a deeper recess for the turret to sit in as they fall off way too easily.

From the looks of the Fury of Ivan, it looks like a captured german walker replacing the 88s with Soviet heavy cannons. The legs and chassis are common with the German medium walker and the cockpit appears to be expanded foward. Not sure if that is to accomodate a co-pilot of some less efficient Russian controls.
