Has anyone tackled the thorny issue of tartans/diced hose/diced cap bands in 6mm? If so, how did you handle the details in such small scale?

I've done 1700's Highlanders in 6mm. Just pick simple tartans, and use a brush with a good point. Technical pen is handy, too!

What pen tip size did you use? 0.3mm?
