By Roger Fenton. Of possible interest. link Took my atention the sorry state of some horses and how tiny looks like many of them. The Vivandier is a mirrow of that brave women of Napoleon Era. Armand, that link is quite fantastic. I'd seen some of those pics before, but never such a large collection all in one place, all on one web-page. Thank you for posting the link. Re: the dromedaries, I've heard of them having been used for transport in the Crimea, but never heard of them used in combat there. But I'm no expert. |
