I have seen a few posts praising the company for service and minis, but how are the rules? Thanks |

Try 'em yourself, they're free: PDF link Personally, having tried them, I prefer Black Powder. The ATKM rules have an unusual turn sequence that I do not care for. |

I use a modified version of TSATF. But I've downloaded the rules and they look fine. I'm not going to be able to have a go at them until after Cold Wars. Their figures, however, are quite good. Not that I listen to their paens of Size Mattering
I've got too many 25mm's to abandon them right now. Eric |

I played in a few games they ran at NashCon and I liked the rules a lot. It's just gonna be a matter of personal taste. |

I've got too many 25mm's to abandon them right now. I hope size doesn't matter, since mine's only 15mm long. The rules seem interesting, even if a little oddball. I do like the idea of having multiple ranks (privates, cornets, captains) represented in formations, though. |

I do like the idea of having multiple ranks (privates, cornets, captains) represented in formations, though. Officer and ensign figures have no bearing at all on the game unless you use the "Officer and Ensign Casualties" advanved rule. Much like most other rules in other words. |

Rules are "beer and pretzels" and very simple. They are a lot of fun and easy to modify if need to, for whatever musket period you want. |

I don't know about the rules as I wasn't playing but here are the figures in action: link |

I'll be playing with 15s (I play everything with 15s). So, if size matters, I'm afraid I'll be left a bit limp. |

So, if size matters, These rules, in fact any rules, are not size specific, so you should be fine. |

But I feel so inadequate. |

Yeah, in the end, all it has to please is me. |

noimtheotherguy, thanks for inquiring about our rules. They can be played with any scale figures. I personally would halve movement and fire distances if I were playing with 15s. What is normally a single figure in 54mm could be treated as a stand in 15mm for some nice, big battalions. Margard has it right. You can download the rules for free from our site: allthekingsmentoysoldiers.com Hope this helps, Ken ATKM |

I find some of ATKM's 1812 scenario's very interesting and would like to try them, but with other rules. Anyone now what the scale of representation is? For example a typical formation seems to be 12 figures and an average regiment was probably around 300 to 375 so I am guessing around 1:20 to 1:30 (model soldier/ actual men)? Brian |
