Appreciate any advice on which type of LBMS transfer I can get to fit the plastic Conquest games Normans. Cheers CW |

Ask Steve at LBMS he is quite helpful. The plastic shields have no boss, that should make them adaptable to different brands. You can Pre-trim the transfers and paint to the edge the gaps. |

Let me tell you a cautionary tale, at my own expense. I assembled and painted a box of these over Christmas 2010, as the start of a Norman DBx project. I finished them and boxed them up, as the project was mothballed for a while (arent they always?). Christmas 2011 and a burst of enthusiasm saw me paint up a load more normans, a mix of Gripping Beast and Foundry. I used LBMS transfers for their shields, and was happy with the effect. I remembered that I hadnt made much of an effort with the shields I did on the Conquest Normans a year earlier, so ordered some Gripping Beast kite shields and attached some of the cracking LBMS transfers to them, with the intention of replacing the plastic shields on the Conquest Normans. However it was only when I got the Conquest Normans out the box that I remembered that the majority of the shields are cast on to the arms themselves, the arms then being glued to the torso at the elbow. What should have been a ten minute job of straight shield swapping turned into about 4 hours of careful cutting and snipping, effing and blinding

In agreement with Sillypoint – Steve at LBMS has always been incredibly helpful with any questions I have asked him about suitable matches. However I dont think (but happy to be proved completely wrong) that he currently does any norman kite shields without holes in the middle to accommodate the boss. Hence me c*cking about as outlined above
