Does anyone manufacture metal, resin or plastic slabs of beef, pork, and poulry that could be used/hung in a 25mm/28mm butcher shop? Thanks. Richard

Richard, this should be incredibly easy to make from green stuff.

Making from aluminum foil coated in white glue may work for something this simple, although Green Stuff will obviously work too.

Admiral, I'm sure you're right and it's probably what I'll do, but I lucked into so some HO pieces for my 15mm butcher's stall for my medieval collection and was hoping something similar might be out there in 28mm or 0 gauge. In my golden years I try to save time whenever I can. Thanks for writing. Richard

Before refrigeration, poultry would usually be kept alive until a customer picked out a bird. Twist the neck and here's your dinner, ma'am.

Several manufacturers make domestic animals including pigs and cows from metal or plastic. Shouldn't be hard to chop a hind quarter out of a plastic cow or a ham off a plastic pig, paint and display apopropriately.

Dollhouse collectors routinely make meats out of appropriately colored Fimo or Sculpey oven-baked polymer clays. They achieve some pretty incredible, realistic looking results.

You can probably find lots of ideas and how-to articles in dollhouse magazines in the local Michael's/JoAnn's/Barnes & Noble, or do some searching online. Just scale them down from dollhouse size (1/12) to 28mm (about 1/56).

jpattern2, thank you. Much appreciated. Richard

Doll house stores are a cool place to find all kinds of gaming goodies – my local one has a very friendly staff. You might find just such already made and painted at one near you, Richard.

I'm going to give it a try! Thanks.
