This is a "living document" as I'll be updating it throughout the day, thus the external link. But check this out for a list of clarifications to the summaries in that pdf link |

On the pdf by Yates of FOW website, page 4, Defensive fire page 152, it states, "All defending teams within 8"/20cm of assaulting teams can defensive fire. Defensive fire can only hit teams within 8"/20cm of the shooting team and hits can only be allocated to assaulting teams. Smoke conceals but does not make teams Gone to Ground for defensive fire. Only machine-guns and turret=mounted weapons can hit infantry teams in defensive fire." A tad confusing or am I reading it wrong. Brian |

I don't find it confusing – basically what this does is keeps people from daisy chaining in a unit 8" or more away through "careful" placement of independent teams. |

It says ALL TEAMS
then it says ONLY mg and turret may fire? |

It's just a rules summary. That applies only to tanks. The rule is basically saying that a hull mounted gun can't shoot infantry in DF. |

"Bunkers are unaffected by Smoke." Wha-!? |
| indierockclimber | 02 Feb 2012 7:05 p.m. PST |
that's only part correct- bunkers still have their max range reduced by smoke. but they are not affected by the +2 to hit teams through smoke. |

I'm getting the sense that this Change Summary is a less than completely helpful. I hope the guys at BF are paying attention to the information you are collecting indierockclimber. Let's hope they spend a little time editing and reposting the summary after fixing the discrepancies that your effort is surfacing. For some of this this summary and the new QRS is all we have to go off of as we ease into V3. |

I think it best to read the V3 rules yourself and then reference all the guides. If yourely on all these guides alone you're not exactly boning up on V3. |
