Has anyone tried these? They seem like just the thing for what I want – one set for naval gaming throughout the Age of Sail.

I bought them anyway, they're not bad.

they're ok.. a bit same-ish

Langton's fast play is my preferred nowadays, the rules an tables fit into my head.

I hardly need to look at the charts except for morale and boarding (when its close usually w *know* when morale will be ok, the factors are situational decisive and clear)

Same-ish? I've only played them a little bit, what's the problem that comes up in play?

My problem with Langton's fast-play is that there are no ship movement differences according to wind! Really?? it's so easy to do this as so many rules have shown.

Still trying to find out more about these rules.

Stalkey and Co

There's a group of gamers in Australia, the Avon Napoleonic Fellowship, who tested a series of age of sail rules.
