I would copy and paste it here, but it's changing fairly rapidly. We've been compiling a list on our forum (no login required). You can check it out here: link

Remember that these are summaries of early read throughs, so don't freak out about anything just yet!

This will be a great help for players as they transition from V2 to V3.

I've purposely avoided any talk of changes (except the Mike Haught episode of WWPD) to avoid memorizing rumors. I'll save my horror and disdain for the real information. :-)

Does this give me enough credibility?

Most of the points on there have been triple checked.

I will say this: This book is VERY well done. Very descriptive pictures and diagrams. Rules are worded a lot better, and the summarizations are easy to understand.

The assault step is VERY well done. It got the most love, and it needed the most love.

In general things that were unnecessarily complicated or overly unrealistic have been fixed.

So far it seems great.

Sonofa..! How'd you…? I mean what the…? Collusion! Collusion I say!

comradetexas01 Feb 2012 11:12 a.m. PST

Seriously, how'd you get the book already? I mean, you've had it long enough to have already taken it to Kinko's and gotten it back.

comradetexas01 Feb 2012 11:25 a.m. PST

Read it. Good stuff. Can't wait to get the book.

Cheers!

I haven't had it that long. :) I gotta get the scoop, it's my job!

Still waiting for mine to get here… *grrrr* Then off to Kinkos for spiral binding… Need to get my 761st book printed out and do the same…

Fingolfen,

761st book? Do tell!

I'm going to try and write up a PDF on the 761st Tank Battalion and I have a scanned copy of the "Come out Fighting" book the Battalion published in 1947. Need to get it printed and bound so I can finish up my research.

Neat – good luck!

Have you read "Brothers In Arms: The Epic Story of the 761st Tank Battalion?" It's written by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, yes the former NBA player.

Wonder if the story of the 761st would interest Lucas as follow on from "Redtails?" I'd be estatic to see a tank combat focused WWII movie!

I actually would love to see a movie about JG52 or a whiff of something for the pacific theater! Well I definitely will have to get my revised copy of the rules. Thanks for an update.
@ Fingolfen- Good luck on that project! I would definitely like to see that unit.
