From what I've been able to find the cap badges for the Queen's Rangers were "white metal". Now is that pewter colored metal (what I've always heard called white metal) or is that metal badges painted white? I'm thinking pewter but just wanted to check. |

Pewter colour will work, not painted white. I use craft paint silver. I think the bottle is by Folk Art. Eric |

"White metal" in uniform color terms goees back to heraldry. White on a coat of arms was "argent", or silver, and yellow was "or" or gold. White metal on a uniform coat was silver for officers, or tin or pewter for the ORs. Just like yellow was gold and brass. |
