I have posted a few pictures on my Der Alte Fritz Journal blog showing the conversion of an American brigadier officer into a militia officer wearing a brimmed hat.

Just a simple head swap with a metal pin holding the new head to the new torso:

The figures are from my Fife and Drum range of AWI figures.

PS: the eyes on the drummer and foot officer are not really that big – it's just that the image is enlarge by about 1.5x which provides some distortion. I may have to go back and touch up that drummer just a little bit though. evil grin

As always, Sir, first class and well done.

If it wasn't the Bicentennial, you might convince me to part with large amount of greenbacks.

Beautiful conversion, have you ever thought of making different heads for the figures,or would that be too costly to make?

Cavcrazy: coincidentally, Richard and I were discussing the possibility of having several different sprues of heads for people to use in their own conversions. (different headgear: brimmed hats, hats turned up in front or in back, bare headed, peaked caps, tricorns with different facial expressions, etc.)

So yes, it is something that we will likely do in the near-term.

I also plan to do the same when we add the dragoons to the range.
