For those of you who like Dixon figures, which line do you buy the most of? For myself, it's the Old West, but I also have some of the Indian Wars and will get some ACW for plains/Southwest cavalry. I don't really care for the cavalry in the Indian Wars line – though I will get some of them. |

I like the 1801,Egypt range and also the Alamo range. The ACW can be odd but have lots of detail and are easy to paint. |

I have the cavalry and Plains Indians, as well as a bunch of western gunfighters and townsfolk, I also have a few wagons, the Dixon stagecoach is beautiful. |

My ACW armies are all Dixon. I love those figures. Yes, some do have some odd dimensions but I think almost any figure line could be said to have some quirks. These were great figures back in the early 90s and have continued to be a fine example of figures with crisp detail that are easy to paint. |

Old West for me too, theyre not the best that i have in that genre, but they are very characterful, have a good range and cheap too |

ACW followed by Plains Wars for me the figures are full of character and the ACW range has been added to over the years offering me ever more painting opportunities |

Dixon's line of American War of Independence (AWI) figures are excellent, especially when painted. |

Anybody have any Dixon horses(for the ACW/wild west) or know where to get them? I'm in the USA!!! Thanks, Sal Sr out!!! |

Unfortunately, Sal, no one in the US stocks Dixon anymore. You have to order direct from the UK. |

Dixon! Ermmm acw, acw and of course acw! Ok gotta admit acw top of the list followed by oldwest, smattering of ww2 20mm mainly tank crew type figures and a couple of motar crews. I like the look of there 28mm ww2 range but not really enough of a range yet but it is expanding so who knows! |

I have a bunch of their ACW range, I really like their miniatures! @scarlinosr1 – Their horses as one has already said are no longer for sale in the U.S. I purchased a bunch of the Cav and I used different horses which I had to make my own saddles for them, I could maybe get you some of those horses – how many do you need? |

I still add figures to my growing 1690's army from their League of Augsburg range, alongside newer ones like Warfare Miniatures. |

Really like the Nine Year war/Marlborough range. Cleanest castes around. Also like the 7 years war range. They paint up very nice. Many of the Nine Years war figures on the LOA website are Dixon's mixed with some foundry. The French General and Mounted officer are great figures as well. |

Samurai obviously. I think that they were some of the very first miniatures I ever saw. I love the stylised little chaps. I've a small box full that when I have time will do for some skirmish gaming. |

I'm interested in the Dahomey range. Has anyone here have any comments on that range? TIA |
| Lowtardog | 13 Feb 2012 5:27 a.m. PST |
Dahomey range are OK early Mike Owen Sculpts so slightly smaller than his current range ( a little cruder too) but fit in with Foundry and Copplestone darkest Africa Ok |
