I follow a lot of gaming Blogs and I often hear the lament that 'life' gets in the way of gaming or painting. Increasingly this has been happening to me as well and its playing merry hell with my painting output. So I recently decided to take matters in hand and put together a Mobile Painting Kit . The idea is that I can still get some painting done, even if I'm away on business or during those oh so rare lunch breaks.

The kit has now seen action and I have been able to get some 15mm terrain painted up on a recent business trip to Leicester. I'm pretty happy with the results , especially as I haven't had the time (or the energy) to pick up a brush in weeks.

Very nice! Looks like a complete set. I find that the trick for me is to make sure I take every 10 minute opportunity I have to make some noticable progress.

Baby down for a nap? get that basecoat on 5 tanks done!

Dang, I was hoping this was an advertisement for one. I tried to get a wood case from Silicon Dragons a couple years ago, but that guy disappeared. The one from Modelmaq looks awesome, but is price prohibitive. I'd like something better than the tacklebox/shoebox combo that i currently use.

I bought the GW "Assault" bag….but its not working out the way I hoped. I am looking for something new. I see that battlefoam can cut trays to hold paints and tools. But I am reluctant to drop more $. USD

@IRC…I heard mixing the formula with whiskey instead of water gives you more time to paint.

The box cost me just £5.00 GBP and most of the contents I already had. When I started looking I found that I had a lot of spare equipment and material and could make up a travel case at minimal cost. In the end all I needed were a few extra paints and a couple of brushes so I reckon I spent less than £30.00 GBP on the whole set-up.

Me too, set myself a goal of doing something everyday, regardless of how insignificant it may seem e.g. woke up a bit early this morning and put a black wash on the British infantry section currently on the painting table. I've recently started assembling vehicles on the dining room table rather than disappearing to the painting room for the entire evening (keeps SWMBO a bit happier)
