Ooooh! That first number. "Across from you at the bar are cat-like eyes, casting a side glance at your but wanting to appear engaged with the sax player on stage. In between her fingers patiently waiting it's turn is her cigarette ready to caress her lips. Between the long deep notes pouring out from the sax player, she takes a long but very casual draw on her cigarette. You roll a "1" . Idiot! |

I rolled a 1? Good thing I play 2 hour wargames, low rolls make it. Great scene timurilank, I want to play in your next game. |

"Great scene timurilank, I want to play in your next game" Thanks for the compliment, but I must thank you for bringing to my attention to this number. I can use it with my next DJ gig. Cheers, |

"Harlem Nocturne" is way too early for Mike Hammer--but just the ticket for The Continental Op, and early Philip Marlowe. And here's my contribution: YouTube link |

Our high school band used to rev up "Peter Gunn" during our football games, and they didn't play it cool, they played it _hot_--a wall of force in a brass timbre that got all the home team fans up on our feet and cheering. |

Cap Ther've been many different renditions of "Peter Gunn" and amazingly they are almost all good! It has one of the most memorable "hooks" ever! One of my favorites is by Duane Eddy and the Rebels. |
