Whilst searching for something else, I came across this – link Looks quite useful for generating scenarios for your fave rulesets. |

Neat! – thanks, and well done! Perhaps someone should send this to Steve Moffatt, I found the last series, like the Silents, instantly forgettable! |

Had a little play with this at lunch time and came up with this :- Episode 1 – Beauty & the Beast Main plot The Primitive Tech World (Greco-Roman) is inhabited by two distinct peoples, one beautiful and the other hideous in appearance. They are fighting over an (Ancient Tech). Looks can be deceiving, however, and the side of right is actually the Beasts. Sub plot Traitor – There is a traitor working against the success of the adventure for whatever reason. |

@herkybird – are you saying that tongue in cheek? Can anyone actually remember The Silence? |

Ah – spotted my deliberate pun! – I really miss the quality of the David Tennant period though. I think making a good writer like Mr Moffatt into chief writer was promoting him beyond his ability. Health and Safety Daleks! – Pah! |

Like it, I was contemplating something like this for Star Trek (original series) although since I haven't got figures or rules for it I would probably never have gotten round to doing it. When two plots collide things get interesting one point though (although we don't know if the author is watching)
United Kingdom: Your adventure takes place in the United Kingdom. Roll to find out where (D6):1-4 Great Britain 5 Scotland 6 Ireland What about Wales?. Great Britain and United Kingdom are synonymous, I think he means 1-4 England. Ireland isn't part of the UK but it is part of the British Isles, except for Northern Ireland. Could I suggest British Isles: 1-3 England 4 Wales 5 Scotland 6 Ireland (either Northern or Republic) |

Better to say: 1-5 England 6 roll again 1-2=Wales 3-4=Scotland 5-6=Ireland (1-2 north 3-6 repub) |

Not only a great design, but terribly in depth as well. I'm impressed by the level of detail you can get to. Usually these plot generators are far more vague and give a lot less information. I'm usually left with more questions than answers but this one is sweet. I'm going to adapt it to my own game. Someday. If I ever play a game of my own again! |

FYI, that "Beauty & the Beast" episode is straight from Star Trek:TOS. It's the plot of "The Cloud Minders." (Not the best episode by a long shot.) |

I really miss the quality of the David Tennant period though. Not to get any flamewars started, but they really stepped up the last series and IMHO it completely stands alongside the Tennant years. |

Eh. I'm still deciding whether I like Matt Smith or not
No question on Amy Pond though! ;) But. It's true. The last season made was pretty much completely forgettable. There was all of
.two..maybe three episodes from it I even remember? And one of them was the one with Demon's Run. David Tennant was just too good in the role. Feels like he left the show too early
. Also. Dear god, it needs to be said again. The new Daleks are awful. They just feel right in any way. The armour design, the colours
.. It's just
not
. Ugh. What were they thinking? |

"They aren't going to make an appearance for a while. We thought it was about time to give them a rest
There's a problem with the Daleks. They are the most famous of the Doctor's adversaries and the most frequent, which means they are the most reliably defeatable enemies in the universe." -Stephen Moffat ( link ) ( I agree the rainbow colors were a bad choice, though. )
