First let me say thanks to everyone who chipped in on my previous thread about scale, rules and background reading. I got several of the books recommended for Christmas (good to give the relatives an exact item isn't it!) and Dave at PT sorted me out with some models. I've posted on my blog a couple of photo's of what I've managed to paint up so far.

Very nice

Good to see the clear bases – they are my preferred bases for ships.

Good luck with the period. I spent a couple of years trying to track down a copy of the old microgame MBT to relive the past grin

Very good looking. If you haven't thought about rule sets yet, Command at Sea System by Clash of Arms Games has a coastal forces module called Mighty Midgets. I don't do the coastal stuff, but I can attest that CaS is a great rule set

…Don't belive it. CaS is serious micro-management. For a smooth flowing game go for something like Dillon Browne's "Attack with Torpedoes".

Thanks guys. I've picked up a copy of Action Stations and think that'll do me for now.

Nice job on the vessels!

The old "MTB" game is harder to play than the minis actually. I snagged a copy 14 years ago and was surprised at some of the issues. I even tried to come up with values for some more historically accurate types but gave up.
