Colonial Africa the European Buildings I saw in Egypt, Ethiopia Kenya Uganda, Tanzania and Zanzibar were very similar to French 19thC country houses usually with a verandah added. Also small regional trim to add flavour. If I knew how to upload photos I'd add all the ones I took with the intent to build them in 10/15mm. |

Philos, I've been on the hunt for a while and there is not much, more or less nothing. There is the possibility of finding things in aquarium shops but even that seems to have run dry of late. I've settled on scratch building my own town. What you can find, at least here in the USA, are small cast items in resin that will add the right touch to models. I've found Buddhas, elephants, foo dogs, dragons and such that I will use to decorate my town. To give a more Chinese feel to it all, I am going to create a template for some roof pieces and mass produce them – but only enough for my own use I'm afraid (will need dozens at least.) If anyone has found appropriate stuff, I'd LOVE to know about it. |
