Just wondered if anyone has seen the allocation of wheeled vehicles specific to the G-Series Marine Tank Bn, approved 1st May 1945? Tanks are OK, but I've got nowt for Jeeps and trucks. The various summaries available on the web look mostly to be derived from the official USMC histories, which are also online, but these only show overall figures of vehicles for the Marine Div, not a unit allocation. I would look at what is available from The Nafziger Collection. You will probably find a reprint on the FM that covers the organization you are interested in. |

Had a check, but there are no Nafziger reprint manuals for the USMC. Well as I'm not exactly getting stampeded with answers, it probably means there's nothing readily available, so I'll work on the basis they used the same allocation as for the F-Series. Gary |
