Dusted off my my rules, figures and buildings to set up a gunfight this afternoon. It was a three way engagement. A Sioux raiding party, taking advantage of the Saturday afternoon fisticuffs, rode into town to count coup and raid horses and a herd of pigs. Meanwhile, Boss Hogg attempted to sneak along the outskirts to also steal the pigs.
The Sioux attempted to count coup on the evil gun dealer(we blame all our misses on the guns that we bought from this person.) The Sioux were soon shot down and sent reeling back to the hills. The boss Hogg gang taking advantage of the gunfire, launched attacks on the south edge of town. Killing a shop keeper.
Mayhem ensued, the Marshal dropping his donut and coffee ran into the street to shot down a gang member. Two gang members took positions in the street to hold off some townsmen from cutting off the pig rustlers.
With three casualties, the gang reached the pig corral but were unable to get the gate open for several turns. With five casualties, the townsmen closed to hand to hand combat with the gang.
Boss Hogg knifed the Sheriff finally forcing a pluck check, which the townsmen failed
they ran back to their shops; leaving the gang to run off with the pigs.
Since they were beginning gangs, Boss Hogg scored some experience and the gang got $35 USD for the pigs. Two of the 10 townsmen perished of their wounds. The Sioux gained some experience but one died from taking a snake oil cure.
We hadn't played since Leroy blew up the hardware store with dynamite, killing most of his gang.
