Chortle: They have some nice models. Many reviews are coming to TMP. Thanks for yours. Just received some PSC 15mm Shermans yesterday, haven't had time to open the box yet. Is the one above 1/72? Nice, whatever size. Off to check out VicCina's link

The tracks come in two pieces and they require one to put the top part of the track on the chassis wheels first and then mount the chassis to the tank. This prevents the track from falling off while waiting for the glue to dry. Once that dried putting the bottom part of the track on required some fiddling as the track does not fit snuggly up against the road wheels. Also the two tracks do not touch when applied. This will require adding some green stuff or some other filler to close the gaps.
I found the tracks fitted together pretty well once I figured out there were left and right sections (gaps in the grousers go on inside) Looking at your pictures you seem to have them on the correct side so not sure why you are having a problem. I attach the bottom half first though. Put 4 together so far and I'd not built plastic kits for 20 years. 15mm in the photo I believe the 1/72 not quite out yet. Nigel (big PSC fan) |

These tanks are 15mm. NigelM: Not sure what the problem is but I built the second one last night and I'm still having gap issues with the tracks. I even played around with them in different configurations before attaching them and couldn't get a good fit. |

15mm in the photo I believe the 1/72 not quite out yet. Very nice in that case, glad I ordered them. Thanks,

Having stuck 20 of their T34s togther the secret seems to be in getting the tracks the right way round and using some good poly glue (rather than superglue) to get the track ends to bond. The other minor point I had with the T34s was that if modelled with the commander in hatch, I had to cut each closed hatch open to then glue on – the likes of BF and FIB now provide turrets with the hatches moulded open for commanders and also closed – glued on hatches are very prone to easily snap off no matter what |

The track issue seems to be a persistent thing with the PSC kits, except for the Sdkfz 251s which are molded in one peice, and some care must be used to get it right. I just used old-fashioned tube cement and they stuck fine. In fact I used tube cement and the liquid plastic cement exclusively building mine, they went together nicely and looked just fine when finished; link , judge for yourself. What I like best is that the little things, like MGs and gas-cans are delicately molded and not "blurry" like the metal details of the BF and Old Glory ranges. |
