Just finishing off a unit of the Aventine Thureophoroi for Hail Caesar so am appreciating your posts. One other 'trick' with transfers is lightly score the backing paper before applying to the shield – helps with curved surfaces. Do gloss varnish the shield face first – I also slightly wet it with water before applying the transfer. Garry |
