What's the best glue to attach fake leather with what looks like cloth backing to cardboard? Thanks.

I'd try Tacky Glue or Fabri-Tac.

rubber cement is better than tacky glue for this, fabri-tac might work too…

Bostic, or copydex or uhu will do it.

I would use Elmers white glue or Aileens white glue.
