I framed the question poorly. Though a heirarchical rank of favorite features would be interesting too. I'll try again:

Contributions to what constitues TMP come in two ways: from Bill or from you the user. Which is more important to you and by how much? Express your answer in ratio form.

Bill does not delete your posts and lock your account if you mention other sites and or forums on here.

Only in rare conditions.

For example, something happened the other day which I don't think had happened before – someone posted a topic about new miniatures, and linked to another website's news story. That seemed a bit like promoting that other website over TMP, particularly considering TMP had already run a Hobby News story on the same subject! The topic was removed, and I explained why to the poster.

Are you saying that some other forum locked your account just for mentioning TMP???

I come here for the news and because it's not tied to any particular game or company. Also to see what the latest seemingly insignifcant thing has people's panties in a knot.

Are you saying that some other forum locked your account just for mentioning TMP???

Not as such.
Well I am not sure…

Your business is your forum.

This other site in questions business are his rules.
I have on that forum mentioned I don't play his rules.
I then had my account locked and that post deleted.
All messages and mails to the owner asking why my account was locked resulted in silence.

I ended up having to create another account to use the forum.
Then yesterday I linked to a post here on TMP about my 6mm settlement and again had my account locked and the post in question deleted.

I am not going to ask why as I never got any replies to my last set of messages.
Clearly the site owner does not like me mentioning sites/rules that are not his own.
Other people had posted on there asking if my account had been locked and why, those posts were then deleted.

I have no proof/reason why my accounts were locked and posts deleted but it is a bit of a coincidence.

Whatever the reasons I will no longer promote his forum here or anywhere else, I will no longer recommend his rules here or anywhere else, I will no longer recommend him at all in anyway and I will no longer sell his rules.
I will not be creating another account to use there either.

I learn a hell of a lot about my hobby because of TMP news, entries in the forums, searching the forums, and asking questions. My hobby is utter drivel, but I learn about minis on TMP too.
