"Best Century for British Ancients?" Topic

In the Ancients/Medieval period (up to 1400 AD), which century of British history interests you the most?

14th century BC… Ancient Aliens century

I have a passing interest in the Roman era, though I also have some interest in the 100 Years War and the War of the Roses (though that is just outside of your limit).

Roman period, say 2nd or 3rd century

Mythic Ireland Cuchulain and the Red Branch

I have to pick one for ancients and one for medieval:

1st century BCE -- kicking Romans back into the ocean with chariots.

14th century CE -- Black Prince, Harry Hotspur, *swoon*

400AD-900AD. Romans, Saxons, Britons, Picts, Irish, and lots of Vikings! Give me the Dark Ages man!

1st Century BC to 6th Century AD

Black Prince, Hank V, Crecy, Poitiers, Agincourt, et al.

if you ask daily mail readers, whichever century, it will be the year '56 within it !

A period rather than a century … from the end of the Romans to the coming of the Normans. The age when England took shape.

I would say 10th century as England begins to solidify and the Vikings become more of a colonial than raiding power. Modern Scotland begins to form at the same time.

Lots of conflict with lots of diversity.
