In the past some of you have asked me about the 28mm Hovercraft I used in the Hammer's Slammers: The Crucible rules

picture

Well Old Crow have just sent me an almost identical one cast in resin and I've taken a few very, very quick snaps (and they are quick "just fgot home from work and excitedly ope the box shots so please don't judge!).

It comes optionally with a big ducted fan for the rear (you don't have to fit if you don't want to) which is nice, plus a spot on the top to mount one of the many tuttets Old Crow do.

It's a nice model and well moulded. Although mine is solid, production versions will be hollow cast (to keep the weight down as much as anything else). It does look the part as a heavy transport hovercraft I have to say (but then I always thought it did). Oh and it's 200mm long and 40mm to the cab (bridge?) roof.

I don't know what He'll be charging for this (all I got was a box full of packing beads and a hovercraft!) but email him if you are interested (it's not on his website).

I understand the Legion flexible vehicle is now available (at last) in 28mm as well (though also not available on his website!)

Hey, that's Straker on his way to work…..

Just found out I stuck the fan cowling on back to front: should have been thick end forwards (Thwacks forehead with palm of hand!).

That's me being thick (end) grin

And mako – Ed's about to have a bad day!

Very nice stuff! What's that bronze/copper car off to the right?

John Treadaway27 Jan 2012 2:34 a.m. PST

nvdoyle – That's a re-paint by me of the nasty yellow Dinky Ed Straker UFO car with a better interior (the original one came with a pull back clockwork motor so had a nasty, unconvincing piece of plastic rather than seats, so I replaced it. I also put drivers in all of the cars which don't often have them.)

More shots of the Captain Scarlet game at the link I gave earlier.
