My 5-year-old LOVES Star Wars LEGO. We play with them all the time.

Haven't wargamed with them yet. When it comes to games, he likes to play Daddy's games like Commands & Colors, Star Wars: The Queen's Gambit, etc. :D

You're a bit late, already did two massive games for the 2010 covention season and this year we're doing Dr Who in Lego.

My son won best HOTT army at a club tournament on Sunday with Lego Star Wars figures. A 40mm base can be made with a 5-point frontage, if you care…

I got Slave 1 for Christmas , it also has firing torpedoes.
When i was assembling it i could not see how it would work. The firing mechanism is a simple rubber band and lever mechanism , but when you do it certainly pops them out in quick succession , not bad for a rubber band job .

cheers Tom

Oh yes.

They're great for Blasters and Bulkheads. Song of Blades works pretty well, too.

Generally they're useful for skirmish games because they're poseable, you can swap out what they're carrying and they can ride mounts and vehicles without needing to duplicate figures.

Mind you, I also play Hail Caesar with the Castle ones. 8x16 baseplates make quite good standard unit bases…

Would I wargame with them?

Damn Straight!

Children be damned. Around me, it's the growed-ups that have all of the star wars lego.
The kids want more of the harry pothead and ninjago stuff.
