I enjoy 'what if' scenarios, so I would probably be in on this, especially if you can get the figures needed.

For me maybe an 7 or an 8.

Dave Schueler and I have actually gamed this with modern aircraft using David Manley's Airwar C21 in 1/300. It was interesting.

7 – so long as other powers were involved (almost inevitable) I'd want to be involved.

10 – good excuse to use some oif those Armstrong/H&R models.

9 if the right miniatures are out there. Otherwise a 7 with proxies.

Strange that nobody ever fancies to game Taiwan invasion of Mainland China. That would rock (ROC is the official name of Taiwan, Republic Of China ;)).

There is a Lock n Load varition of this for there World at War boardgame for the cold war. Set in 1985, kind of intresting has among other things Aussies and Kiwis and Chinese Cavalry! Fun game. Check out the Boardgame Geek listing for the World at War series.

Don't count out Chinese cavalry. The Armed Police has at least one unit

Well you'd have to have rules dealing with what happens when Wal-Mart and other US (& European) companies (for that matter) stop buying goods from China …
