O.K. I know this is not where this should be posted, but, I figured this would be the best way to reach the most of you with the most knowledge. One of my bucket list items is a Tiger round up. Get a bunch of Zouaves together for a grand and glorious fight. A local reenactment(Reynoldsburg,Ohio)has just sent out its invitations. If any of you know of any Zouave units who are available June22,23,24 could you PM me the contact info. The most Zouave units I have ever seen in one place is three, I'd like to change that. Last year we had nine field pieces and 250 infantry total, so its not a small reenactment. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, TIG.

Do you have a link to the event?

79th PA: No link yet, contact is RJMergel@aol.com. I believe he is the commander of The Society of Civil Surgeons who are one of the hosts of the event.

Look for the 140th NY. They are from Rochester ny and are zouves. They are very active and have a decent sized unit (25-35) members. They have a website I think

Alas, too late for the small but passionate band of Wheat's Tigers we raised in southern Australia in the 1990s -- I think at our height we numbered 6! What we lacked on the muster roll, we made up for in our capacity for revelry.

I thought that Misters Mingus and Washburn might be of some help, but evidently not. For the few of you who responded, thanks for the help. TIG

Maybe for Ohio, but that's a pretty small reenactment for the Mid-Atlantic. Admittedly, having reenactments on the actual battlefields is helpful…

Though the measure of an event isn't always best guaged by its size!

firstva: Great pictures. We are spoiled here in the Mid-Atlantic. Cedar Creek is always one of my favorites (except the year it rained so much the parking lot filled up!)

Funny, those aren't mine, but they were taken from almost exactly the same position that I was at that day; probably within 50 feet of me at most. He probably had a better camera than I did anyhow!
