I'm looking for this little tank:

link

It was a collectible produced by Yamato.
So far, I had no luck. Neither google-fu nor evilbay brought satisfactory results. The only source was a shop in South Africa. Which ships only to… ummm… South Africa.
Has anyone seen this tank somewhere else?

I know there were garage kits around when the show and manga were newer, but I haven't seen one of those in years.

That's a mouthful -- clever as by the time you shout what's attacking you, you're already dead.

Farstar20 Jan 2012 3:43 p.m. PST

Usually, their quarry would just say "Bleeped text, the Tank Police!" and to the crew, "Bonaparte" is good enough.

I got one (two maybe?) at a Hello Cutie store a few years back. Can't really help you about more though, sorry.

Just gotta know where to look ;)

auction

Been plotting on getting one for a while now, just have not had the time or funds. Enjoy!

Lol. I enjoyed this in it's anime incarnation. It was funny, ridiculous and just well done.

infojunky21 Jan 2012 3:23 a.m. PST

Well to be honest I have seen it…. I believe it is in a box in my garage at the moment… Fiddly little model in 1/35th

Lion in the Stars21 Jan 2012 6:11 a.m. PST

I almost want to convert one in 28mm, just for Infinity silliness, but I'd almost have to use a 15mm Sherman for the hull!

Trencher21 Jan 2012 7:14 a.m. PST

@ Dathbain: Quite close, thanks for the link, anyway…

@ infojunky: Yeah, that's the rare TVC-15/Workshop Cast resin kit. I gave up looking for this one…

@ Lion in the Stars: Scratchbuilding the hull wouldn't be a big problem for me, whereas the shape of the tracks would require some sculpting skills (which I certainly lack…).

I don't know if anyone is still looking at this, but I have 4 of them…

Thornhammer16 Jun 2012 2:14 p.m. PST

What are you asking for them?

Lion in the Stars16 Jun 2012 3:29 p.m. PST

Yup, I'd also be interested, if the price isn't too outrageous.

Grabula16 Jun 2012 5:14 p.m. PST

Is that the movie where they avoid a pursuer by ejecting giant, extremely phallic ballons out of the tank?!

Neroon17 Jun 2012 7:42 p.m. PST

Yep. A classic scene. YouTube link

cheers

retzlaffmd18 Jun 2012 9:32 a.m. PST

I'll post this here, as I want anyone interested to see, I'll take offers of 15mm sci-fi, SFB/SF-ACTA/ST-clix ships, and $$$ of course… just PM me with offers

So, I'm really sorry about reviving this thread after two years of inactivity, but I'd like to know – retzlaffmd, do you have any of those left?

mylordkhorne23 Oct 2014 6:41 a.m. PST

retzlaffmd, I'd like to second a request if you still have any bonaparte kits left ;)

Mad Mecha Guy23 Oct 2014 10:46 a.m. PST

I might know of a shop that has some, will ring them in morning.

Not sure how big there were but got one myself sometime back.

Regards

MMG.

Somebody made Bonapartes for the Total Annihilation PC game. I used to love attacking the other guy with dozens of those things!
