The ACW civilians would probably have more and better firearms. |

Well, the USA/CSA riots all got shut down by their own armies without too much trouble, whereas those pesky French citizens ended up taking over the country

Neither. Ultimately, they would draw. Some would draw a beer, others would pour a glass of wine. Then, they would join forces and bash anyone who opposed them unarmed until the native imaginations joined in and it became the FIW again. |

Good question The ACW rioters would probably be a little healthier and better fed – plus probably better armed – so my money is on them |

1) Which nationalities are involved (ie US v ???) and who is on home soil? 2) If it's a French mob, which side would the 1860s Irish fight on, given the mutual dislike by both sides of the Anglo-Saxon? Given the experiences of the French in Spain, the Tyrol and Russia, I don't think the 1860s US mobs would necessarily have any advantage in ruthlessness and brutality. |

The Americans had poorer police control, more strange, different people passing through, more wild animals, a tradition of hunting, and a nearby frontier with completely unsettled laws, indians and outlaws. The Americans would have plenty of firearms close at hand. The Americans did not have the bigger people culled by decades of warfare. The Americans had better and more food. The Americans had seen more cage wrestling on TV. |

The Americans had seen more cage wrestling on TV. Whats your source 1968billsfan? I thought the Napoleonic civilians had seen as much cage wrestling on TV as the ACW citizens. Except in the Tyrol of course. |
