I'm interested in finding out what it might cost to have some masters made.

I want true 25mm traditional toy soldiers…in the style of Britains or Hockers.

I'm interested in colonial figures and I'd like for them to be a match in size for Jacklex and Scruby 25mm.

I'm just at the exploration stage of what might be a project. I'm ignorant of what such things cost.

Feel free to send me a private message if you'd rather discuss it in private.

Thanks for reading.

Actually, unless you put in an email address, you have to pay for the privilege of getting pms.

Thanks man. I didn't know.

efredbar at yahoo.com.

While I've got ye attention, I haven't been able to pull up the catalog on your site.

I've basically stopped casting for the winter so disabled the catalogue to stop people ordering then waiting until March for their figures.

This has the disadvantage that people don't know what I sell of course, but the colonial 20mm range is small – 5 British infantry, a few Zulus – that are completely compatible with Jacklex:

Those are the figures I was looking for the last time I was there. Those are the Rose figures right? Thanks for posting them…you'll probably be hearing from me in March.

Thanks for the links too. What I'm wanting to do may be feasible…I want them to be simple. One dollie for standing poses, one for kneeling poses, charging, etc. One the other hand, sometimes the simplest things can be the hardest to get right. The styles gotta be right…and there doesn't seem to be a lot of interest in that kind of sculpting. We'll see.

By the way…Jacklex and Scruby 25mm are a great match (with possible exception of a few thicker bases on the newer remasters) so I guess we can throw Rose on the list too.

If what you want are basic dollies – we might actually have some of those. We have many of the original Scruby dollies, or base figures.

If interested something like that, give a shout and I'll take a look at the archives and see what we have that might fit your needs.

Thanks. that's very interesting.

I'll be contacting you shortly for an order anyway.

I just bought scads of what I think are Scruby 25mm British Colonials off eBay. Excellent figures (I'll post some pictures) but I need somebody for them to fight.

Here's some painted examples of what I'm going for…

The figure on the far right is a Scruby 25mm, the middle figure is Jacklex rating, and on the left is, I think, a Scruby Highlander.

Look at the Ratings eye's…talk about messing up the simplest things. Maybe he's just skeered.

But he's got the best depth perception in the navy (no pun intended).

Take a look at Spencer Smith. They have some old school figures that may be of interest to you.
