James Morris and I had a game of Hail Caesar tonight with the Saxons taking on a combined British Kingdoms and Pictish force. A bit of a report and some images on the blog: link

lovely figures :-) The laser cut discs near the units – are they used for casualties? How do they work, and where did you get them? |

That game looks fantastic. Which manufacturer(s) were the figures made by? |

How do they work, and where did you get them? They look like Warbases casualty markers link Move the wee tab to display a number from 1-12 in the slot. |

Nice looking game & figures; what rules did you use prior to Hail Caesar? Looks like some of the units were based for WAB? Dean |

I have those markers, they are lovely, made of wood with a nice light organic feel, and as cheap as chips – I bought a dozen at Fiasco. Pat |

Are the Warbases markers large enough to accommodate 25/28mm figs? |

My figures are almost entirely Musketeer and I'm not sure about James collection bur can certainly see a lot of Gripping Beast in there. This army does also do duty in WAB. I enjoy both WAB and Hail Caesar and a bit of SAGA but am not feeling the love for any of the other newer ancient rules (FOG, COE, etc.) The markers are indeed from warbases.co.uk and will fit a 28mm figure just fine. However, after last nights game I think that they are too big to be used in Hail Caesar and do get in the way a bit so I'm looking to use something more integral to the unit base. The markers will certainly find other uses though as they are great. |
