Hello,

I just uploaded in my website an updated version of the Pz8 two-pages wargame rules, that you can download here:

panzer8.weebly.com/rules.html

there are now 12 sets:

Pz8 WW2 rules
Pz8 1950-75 rules
Pz8 1975/2010 rules
Pz8 Sci-fi rules
Pz8 WW2 Divisional rules
Pz8 1939-41 Naval rules
Pz8 WW2 Coastal rules
Pz8 Space rules
Pz8 WW1 Divisional rules
Pz8 1935-65 & WW1 Aerial rules
Pz8 1965-75 Aerial rules
Pz8 Colonial Wargame rules

You will be pleased to find a new graphic design and a variety of changes and
ideas that have been discussed in the Pz8 Yahoogroup… too many to quote them all… to be honest, I don't remember exactly what I changed and where :-)

I had fun writing and playtesting them.. I hope you will have fun playing them!

Thank you ---Pz8

Thanks for letting us know. This is a really nice collection of rules. Being free is just icing on the cake!

Thanks,

John

Yeah, pretty cool! If only I could persuade my co-players to try a different set of rules…

I might try doubling all ranges/distances on the Sci Fi set and running it with multi-based 15mm. I do have one question on the SF set… is the GEV supposed to be some type of support flyer, like a gunship? I can't figure out why a grav tank would be so much faster than a jetbike. :)

We've played the sci fi set and like them. Quick and easy. Thanks for sharing them.

Thank you all… in the rules, GEVs are indeed some kind of support / ground attack / transport air units, like helicopters nowadays… "hovertanks" are grav tanks (like their tracked counterparts but don' suffer terrain penalties)… doubling the distances for 15mm is a good idea…

Thank you, Deserter. I'll try them out in 15mm and post a battle report.

Gidday All!
Happy New Year.

(I'll promise to keep this to under two pages ;) )

As you may know "Panzer8" moved away to other projects several years ago.

This hasn't deterred players for tweaking and playing what was developed by him and the other Members of the old yahoo group, using the simple concept:

A Two Page set of Wargames Rules.

Two months ago, an effort was begun to assemble that work, locate archived copies of previous websites and blogs and reboot Pz8's current home at:

pz8.2325069.n4.nabble.com

To continue the same effort, to develop, tweak, test and distribute, new and existing rules on the two-page recipe, without cluttering up TMP

To that end forum stalwart sam_acw has added his collection of "roll sixes" magazine which he wrote.

The forum, which was long ago heavily spammed, has been secured against unregistered use.

I'd like to invite you back to Pz8, to simple, essential wargaming.

Please do enjoy!

Bob Blanchett

Is there an updated page for the rules download?
