While organizing my miniature bins I cam across a bunch of figures I must have purchased at one time for a horror/pulp game. I feel this must be kismet and now I need to find a rule system to run a game with these figures.

So which systems do you use? BTW the figures are 28mm if that makes a difference.

As a casual horror gammer I have found "Strange Aeons" easy to pick up and use. Simple mechanics that flow nicely for this sort of thing.

I am more likely to use whatever set of rules I'm currently working with and just tweaking them to fit so there is that approach too.

I would like to try Witchfinder General.

GASLIGHT so far, but I have played my first game of Witchfinder General which worked nicely for horror.

Savage Worlds for bigger/multiplayer games, Fear & Faith for small skirmish.

Chaos In Carpathia for us.
We've used .45 Adventures for pulpier stuff… or sometimes Call of Cthulhu.

Fear & Faith is good because they have stats for just about any creature / monster / sub-genre you can think of. I'm not super fond of the engine's activation mechanism but I think this is a good game, especially with scenarios.

Chaos In Carpathia and the other rules in that family cover a wide range of creatures and monsters as well. I like it but sometimes it bogs down with too many rolls for combat.

I can't wait for Two Hour Wargames to finally get a comperhensive horror game out. I'm not a big zombie fan; I prefer werewolves, vampires, ghoulies, etc.

Strange Aeons is a great system to play Cthulhu games. The campaign system is good and Uncle Mike does a decent job of supporting it although I think he'd get a lot more players if he released PDFs since shipping from Canada can be slow at times.

Fear and Faith for non-Lovercraftian Horror.
Strange Aeons for Cthulu.
GASLIGHT for Pulp.
Deadlands is up for grabs…not sure if I will use the Deadlands rules, GASLIGHT or Fear and faith…perhaps a play-off is in order.
