Derrick's The Image of Irelande (1581) has 12 prints of Irish and English of the late 16th century. It is a source used by Gush in his Irish Article. For those with broad-band there are the 12 prints on 1 page with Olde English spelling of captions or modern English spelling.

Very interesting site – I'd not seen all the images before – thanks for sharing. The link at the foot of the page even had a short article that I'd done for Pike & Shot Society many years ago (and completely forgotten about!!).

Great source for a nice range of Renaissance Irish in 28mm – surely a gap in the market for some very interesting campaigns (which could almost be done along 'colonial war' lines?).
