This is a link to some 1/1200 scale aircraft I just did with full camouflage. The Me-163 and the Mig-3 and the Me-109e are all about the size of the match head in the pics.

I've painted my fair share of 2mm stuff on up but I must say that I am blown away by the schemes. I am guessing you started at the fuselage and worked your way out?

yes, for the most part that is the way I do it. The key for me has been to have a LOT of brushes with a various number of bristles.

Good point. Having a ton of brushes at the handy really helped my painting. I like not having to constantly clean and dry brushes. I do sort of an assembly line thing myself.Great way to do it.

They look great but now I am really glad I didn't order the 1/1200 airplanes, I thought 1/700 were small.
