It never ceases to amaze me that Shapeways stays in business. I suppose it's just not worth Hollywierd's time to police it.

I just wonder, with the super-coarse surface texture I noticed on Shapeways stuff, does making small 'detail' even make sense? All of it's going to be obliterated or indistinguishable from the actual material surface.

Or have shapeways improved their process now?

Considering that a Conestoga-class is most of 400m long, you do kinda need a small scale!

Yeah but it's TINY, even for a starship miniature. It's barely bigger than a fleet-scale fighter (might even be smaller than some).
