Do you enjoy a cup o' Joe while wargaming?

McWong7309 Jan 2012 10:23 p.m. PST

Hell yes, my beverage of choice for all things gaming and painting.

DeanMoto09 Jan 2012 10:25 p.m. PST

Yes – with Kahlúa!

epturner09 Jan 2012 10:32 p.m. PST

Yep. Or tea. Either works.

Coyotepunc and Hatshepsuut09 Jan 2012 10:39 p.m. PST

I would, if it didn't interfere with my beer and whiskey.

The Dial Dude09 Jan 2012 10:44 p.m. PST

Never touched the stuff. I do not drink anything served warm or hot. Anything I drink has to be cold or well, I don't drink it.

Rassilon09 Jan 2012 10:47 p.m. PST

Only if it's a venti, half-whole milk, one quarter 1%, one quarter non-fat, extra hot, split quad shots (1 1/2 shots decaf, 2 1/2 shots regular), no foam latte, with whip, 2 packets of splenda, 1 sugar in the raw, a touch of vanilla syrup and 3 short sprinkles of cinnamon…

Without coffee human life is not possible on this planet – so also no gaming.

darthfozzywig10 Jan 2012 12:00 a.m. PST

No, but thanks for asking.

Derek H10 Jan 2012 1:00 a.m. PST

Tea or beer. Never coffee.

kreoseus210 Jan 2012 1:08 a.m. PST

Tea, in copious quantities

uruk hai10 Jan 2012 1:09 a.m. PST

Nope.

Angel Barracks10 Jan 2012 2:33 a.m. PST

or tea.

GeoffQRF10 Jan 2012 2:43 a.m. PST

Tea, but it's a pain when painting. I have to put the tea and water pot well away from each other. Good I use acrylics these days…

Grizzlymc10 Jan 2012 2:48 a.m. PST

Only until the sun passes the yard arm

Thylacine DF10 Jan 2012 2:54 a.m. PST

Hell yes!

It is by coffee that I set my mind in motion. It is by coffee that thoughts acquire speed…..

Cheers

Derek

The Hobbybox10 Jan 2012 3:00 a.m. PST

I drink almost nothing but coffee, all the time.

Probably explains a lot about me!

SECURITY MINISTER CRITTER10 Jan 2012 3:04 a.m. PST

Painting yes, gaming not so often.

ZULUPAUL Supporting Member of TMP10 Jan 2012 3:06 a.m. PST

Usually water while gaming…coffee while painting

000 Triple Aught10 Jan 2012 3:09 a.m. PST

Coffee would be ok, but I prefer beer. Coffee puts too much of an "edge" on… good cold beer OTOH, knocks the edge off and is more relaxing (for me at least).

Yes

Martin Rapier10 Jan 2012 3:40 a.m. PST

No, I don't usually drink anything while gaming (apart from slurping from my aluminium water bottle if it is a long game), too much chance of spillage.

I do however like coffee, a pint of freshly ground in the morning.

By John 5410 Jan 2012 3:42 a.m. PST

Tea, a wet, a brew, cuppa, rosie-lee, beige gold, always Tea.

John

Thomas Nissvik10 Jan 2012 3:52 a.m. PST

Oh, yes. Jockes game room is cold even in the summer. Hot coffee goes a long way towards keeping gamers alert and hypothermia-free.

streetline10 Jan 2012 4:06 a.m. PST

Coffee in the morning, beer in the evening. Water or tea in the afternoon.

Lowtardog10 Jan 2012 4:20 a.m. PST

Aye

Yesthatphil10 Jan 2012 4:30 a.m. PST

I think it's rude not to share a drink.

Coffee is my most common choice as I'm usually back behind the wheel of car soon enough.

Painting always, gaming never – mostly because I game at night, paint in the morning.

Jamesonsafari10 Jan 2012 4:35 a.m. PST

Tea. Or G&Ts…

Dynaman878910 Jan 2012 4:43 a.m. PST

Diet Dr. Pepper. Any time of day.

Ed Mohrmann Supporting Member of TMP10 Jan 2012 4:44 a.m. PST

Coffee in the morning, not at games. Usually nothing
at a game; perhaps, infrequently, a Heineken…

Unrepentant Werewolf at work10 Jan 2012 5:02 a.m. PST

Yes, about 3 in an evening, whatever I'm doing!

avidgamer10 Jan 2012 5:16 a.m. PST

It's either coffee or beer depending how far I have to drive home after the game is over.

Grelber10 Jan 2012 5:44 a.m. PST

No. I go from work to the Thursday evening game, with a quick stop at a fast food place for dinner, so I usually end up with a Dr. Pepper to sip for the first hour or so. Besides, I'm not a coffee person.
Grelber

galvinm10 Jan 2012 5:48 a.m. PST

No, no, no.

Tea drinker. Never could get into coffee. Even with 24 years military. I do enjoy a cup of coffee on a cold winter morning when out in the field, tho. Perfect way to warm the hands.

TopKick10 Jan 2012 5:57 a.m. PST

Coffee, it is my life blood. Many a thermal mug has been left at friends houses after a good game. I'm always drinking coffee while rolling the dice…brings me luck.

M C MonkeyDew10 Jan 2012 6:04 a.m. PST

Coffee is key. Not just for war gaming either :)

Steve Johnson10 Jan 2012 6:11 a.m. PST

I used to, but was diagnosed a Type 2 diabetic. Only was I can drink coffee is really sweet, and the artificial sweetners just don't do it, so I cut out coffee altogether.

Steve

flooglestreet10 Jan 2012 6:22 a.m. PST

Yes

One morning, early man started the long and arduous quest for civilization. How he did it without a cup of coffee to get started is beyond me.

Hazkal10 Jan 2012 6:37 a.m. PST

Tea, please. Milk, no sugar. Don't forget the biscuits!

mbsparta10 Jan 2012 6:48 a.m. PST

Coffee and an early morning game, it doesn't get much better thant that. Except maybe beer and a late night game.

Caesar preferred Cafe Mochas. He was a Starbucks fan. He had a venti mocha when he crossed the Rubicon on 1/10/49 BC.

He knew how to wargame.

no

Sergeant Crunch10 Jan 2012 7:16 a.m. PST

Yes, definitely. Though I usually drink coffee while doing almost anything. Since most of my gaming is at home I also will on occasion enjoy a nice dark lager.

Non Irn Bru10 Jan 2012 7:29 a.m. PST

Yes

Sysiphus10 Jan 2012 7:37 a.m. PST
