This summer I am again directing a strategy camp for senior high youth. On of the planned projects for this year is to give the kids a chance to make their own games and boards.

I have been looking at HeavyMetal maps and HexDraw. Does anyone have any experience with either of these programs running on a Windows 7 system?

IIRC there are a couple of web-services that create Hexpaper in you browser

I have never tried to install Heavy Metal Maps on Windows 7, but what I can say is that I don't like the program at all because the included textures looks really unappealing.
