Hello everyone!

Having somewhat recently converted to the wondrous world of 15mm sci-fi, I got inspired to build some forces based on one of my favourite games of all time, Advance Wars. I plan on building an Orange Star army, and a Blue Moon army to oppose them.

What I ask of you, is suggestions on what models to use. My current plan is to use proxie models trenchers and artillery as my light tanks and artillery, and to use Peter Pig's AK47 stuff for the orange star troops. I need help when it comes to representing the CO characters and other units!

The units from each faction are all in this image:

And the COs I'm hoping to have:

Thanks in advance!

I have toyed with this idea myself. There are some paper model tanks for advanced wars that you can scale down:

The vehicle shapes are so basic though…I would use wood bits.

I would make use of the RAFM infantry in packs 1 and 4:

Blue and Green infantry can come from any 15mm WW2. Maybe IDF for yellow?

The HO scaled stuff Gerardo sells here would be useful as well (and uber cheap):

Thanks for your help everyone! I think I've got the basic troops sorted out, I just need some models for the COs. There aren't many character models out there for 15mm to my knowledge, so this might be a hard one.

I've toyed with the idea of an Advance Wars inspired army myself. I spent more time than is healthy with the DS version. I was thinking of using 6mm WW2 stuff myself.

I hope you'll post some pics as you get going.

Oh yeah, I just wanted to say that Ninjatoe's papercraft is pretty awesome stuff.
