Does any one has any experience with tumbling dice 20mm figures. I have IT miniatures but looking for more different ww1 poses, figures etc

I have their US, Brits, and Germans.

They are very nicely made and cast, with a nice touch of character. Very happy with them. Poses are fairly good as well, nothing silly like you sometimes get.

I have a pile of thier Russians and they were not very good at all. You may want to do a small sample order first.

TD figures are thinner and stiffer than IT, but they have a good selection of troop types and heavy gun models. They do not mix with IT figures. They need to be in separate units. Castings are very clean. TD figs are cheaper if you buy packs of 60 or 120, but be careful doing this for 1914, since they will include 1914 troops with mortars and LMGs! Also, if you use tactical rules, where grenadier figs are important, you will have to buy extra packs, since half of the grenadier mold
is used for dead figures. Check Irregular Miniatures 20mm
WWII also. Their early figures were crude, but their recent
Austrian and Russian figures are excellent.

Are there any other 20mm WWI figures around?

Hat make 1914 Russians, Austrians, Turks and Anzacs. Revell make Germans and French (mid to late war). Emhar makes Brits and Germans along with artillery and tanks. Check out Plastic Soldier Review.

Thanks,

John

I am putting a battalion pack of Tumbling Dice Americans in Helmets up on ebay tonight. They are pretty nice figures. I didn't really like the looks of them unpainted but they paint up nicely.

However, I actually prefer the IT figures for detail (except the rifles are too short). They are really nice figs.

If you'd like to see the figures, drop me a line at dan97526@grantspass.net. I have quite a few pics, including ones of the IT figures minis side-by-side with the TD figures.

Raventhorpe still do a range of 20mm WW1 stuff, I have some of their Boer War stuff and they are very nice. E-mail them for lists.

I've been trawling around for 20mm WW1/RCW figs. Tumbling Dice do some nice figs, alhough I found the Germans and ussians fairly disappointing. The Americans are fine though. TD are at the small end of 20mm (i.e. they probably are 20mm!).
IT are a bit bigger. Again, a mixed bag. I really like the German stormtroopers. Not so keen on the cavalry. Quite a range of size figure (different designers??) but generally larger than TD but still quite small.
Britannia do early WW1. I only have a few sample figs. Quite large.
Bandera do a small range of Russians, Poles and Irish Civil War Brits. Quite large. Nice figs - shame they don't do more in this period.
B&B. RCW and Near East/Africa WW1. Large. Should go well with Bandera and Britannia ( I hope!)
Platoon 20mm. Early WW1. Quite large.
Irreglar. I don't have any except gun crews which are small. They do a splendid range of guns.

I intend having all of my IT figs in one army and a mix of B&B, Bandera, Platoon 20 and perhaps Britannia in the others.
