I have been on a Prussian painting binge of late. Here what has been done over the last couple of months.

Really nice, Im starting to get the Calpe bug damn you, damn Bfk and damn Calpe. Their Frenchies are looking every bit as good as the Prussians. |

Calpe are really the nicest figures. I am being very tempted by the French as well. The flag is of course from Flagdude. John |

I'm left behind here in Iraq, but still read TMP daily. My own collection is 28MM Peninsula armies, but your Prussians are pushing me in that direction when I return. The Calpe's are fantastic. Looked at your links and read your opinions about Black Powder representing a battery with one model cannon. I agree with you multiple guns just looks better. I game General de Brigade, but have Black Powder here with me. When I return to Texas, I certainly intend to game the ruleset. That said, the rules are flexible regarding unit sizes, so I see no problem using 3 or 4 guns per battery. Just looks good.. Nice figures |

Great job sir, I am in the process of doing a similiar project using the stunning Calpe miniatures. How do I follow your blog, can't see the follow button? Raglan link |

Nice work. I will be starting on my CALPE Prussians soon. I purchased an entire 'Lassale' Division and two supporting Brigades whilst I was in Afghanistan, so now that I'm back I'll be hooking into them, (once my wife and kids cut me away). Thanks for the inspiration. trailape.blogspot.com |

Wow! Stunning work John. FWIW I am a BP fanatic but base batteries with 2 gun models for the look of the thing

Well done John. I am working on Building the Prussian 3rd Corps for 1813-14 at this time. I am also using both Perry and CALPE. The local gaming club is using Black Powder , which I am still learning. Keep up the good work. Tom |

Hi John, Really great paint jobs on your figures and an impressive amount done, all to a high standard! I too dislike BP's one artillery-base convention and think that 2 would be better. Can't see how that would make a big difference to how the rules play. I too am a great fan of Calpe and have loads more to paint but am currently doing some Perry Prussian Kurassiers. These are a very good match for Calpe as they're about the same height and only a little slimmer. Interestingly, I also have a 24 figure unit of Foundry Prussian Kurassiers, also Perry sculpts, which are still fine to use but significantly smaller than the Perry's own brand. As I'm principally a General de Brigade player my units are normally 32's which applies to my unit of Perry Kurassiers so it's a big painting job! Still hope to get them done by the end of January. Despite being an IT dinosaur I shall see if I can post some piccies. Cheers, Paul |

I have to agree with Sparker ..2 guns for a battery in Black Powder makes them look so much better
.even more so when your French infantry columns over run your limbered Hanovarian Batteris
ain't that right 3rd Kentucky Runicus Fasticus
