Yep, the World at War series board games (as well as the WW2 series) from Lock 'n Load publishing translate well to the tabletop. I used the rules to run an Iran versus Iraq battle set in the 1980's and it worked very well. I used micro armor on 4" GHQ Terrain Maker hexes. The club members seemed to catch on quickly to the rules and the results seemed to be realistic.
