In addition to the B-29, B-25, and P-36 I managed to finish some British airplane minis as well. These are also 1/200 scale resin minis from Armaments in Miniature (aka AIM). Decals for the Whitley and Wellington are from I-94 Enterprises. The decals on the Battle and Blenheim are from The Goblin Factory. The minis are nice requiring very little in the way of clean up. The tail wheel strut on the Whitley is very thin and looked fragile so I replaced it with a bit of thin wire. I added some thin wire to the turrets of the Blenheims as well (the mini comes with a MG barrel molded laying flat on the top of the fuselage). The I-94 Enterprise decals are nice as they are printed individually and don't need to be cut out separately (other than the letters). One does have to look through different sheets to find the markings though as the I-94 decals are not specific to 1/200 scale or specific aircraft. The decals from the Goblin Factory come as a solid sheet and must be cut out (can be an ordeal if you've got say 12 F9Fs that have 12 decals each). Still, it's nice to have decals available from I-94 Enterprises and The Goblin Factory. It's also very nice to have a growing selection of 1/200 scale airplane minis (fits right in with the Wings of War/Glory – Dawn of War minis). I recommend the minis to all skill levels (may want to knock off the tail wheels or add wire struts if you're worried they'll snapped off during game play). Kevin

VSB, sorry for the delay in responding but preparation for a New Year's eve party, attending the Mummers' Parade in Philadelphia and getting my son ready for training for a new job with Virgin America air lines in San Francisco, CA has taken most of my time. You should have received my reply via e-mail by now. |
