Hi All

Well I mercilessly nattered at Martin at Peter Pig to create some Glengarry heads for head swaps. He did, and I took his American Civil War range and created 79th NY Cameron Highlanders. :D

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/79th_New_York_Volunteer_Infantry

Historically, when they where in the field, they look just like standard Union infantry (however as a State regiment they had their own uniforms and jackets, aside from the full on dress kilt or trews, they had red cuffs and collars, and the Glengarry), and they where issued standard Army of the Potomac gear. I'm assuming the Glengarries slipped in, and that they wore their jackets.

Here is the unit on line, its a standard 20 man Johnny Reb 2 unit (sized for the battle of South Mountain).

The command stand

Here is a stand using one of the fun figures from Peter Pig, the NCOs, this one is encouraging a reluctant solder forward.

And finally they wouldn't be Scots if they weren't rude! Again another fun figure from Peter Pig.
